Our favourite all you can eat buffet restaurant

Today I’m going to blog about the Golden Corral.  It was recommended to us when we read a guest comment book in a villa we rented and we in turn have recommended it to others.  Buffet style dining isn’t for everyone, in fact not usually for me,  but the Golden Corral is for us and is loved by all generations of my family from our parents to our godchildren and niece.

It is quite legendary and has an endless buffet with such a large array of different dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner.  We like to fill up on the all you can eat breakfast before we head off to the Parks, it is cheaper to eat here than in the Park and you won’t need any lunch!  At breakfast favourites with our family are the freshly made to order omelette and waffles, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls and the occasional breakfast ice cream (the children – honest).  Breakfast at the Corral also includes your fruit juices and hot tea/coffee.

Lunch brings a whole host of other options, favourites with our parents are the awesome pot roast, meatloaf and the made from scratch mashed potatoes that contain their skins.  My niece loves the steamed broccoli accompanied by a few fries and my husband and I like to start with a lovely fresh salad – he is vegetarian and I don’t like dairy so the Corral is perfect accommodating both our preferences.

Dinner – there is a theme every day, whenever I have been there has always been a Turkey carvery, on steak night they cook it to your preference, there is also fish night.  If you can leave room after the savouries there is also a fantastic array of home-made cakes, pies, cookies and a chocolate fountain.

There is a discount for seniors and if you collect some of the free coupon books from the restaurant itself or from the local supermarkets etc, many contain discount vouchers towards the cost of your meal.  The restaurants are clean, casual and very family friendly.  Other buffets are available but this is our personal favourite.
