Harry P Leu Gardens

Just off the I4 Exit 85 on N.Forest Avenue is the 50 acres that make up Harry P Leu Gardens.

There is a large collection of camellias and a beautiful formal rose garden. With 29 different plant collections, my favourites were the herb collection, the vine collection and the butterfly garden.  One of the other aspects that I loved was that as you wind your way through the gardens, you will encounter many different sculptures commissioned for Leu Gardens.

The Leu House Museum is a restored 19th century home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Four families owned the property before it opened to the public. Guided tours of the Leu House are available on the hour and half hour starting at 10:00 am with the last tour at 3:30 pm. The Leu House Museum is closed in July for restoration and December 25.

Leu Gardens is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day, closed December 25. Last admission is at 4 p.m.

The Leu House Museum, located in the gardens, is open for tours on the hour and half hour starting at 10 a.m. with the last tour at 3:30 p.m. Leu House is closed in July for restoration.
